I am imagining the Joy Tenders’ Cafe as an invitation to mingle with other Joy Tenders, and to post and find links as if on the bulletin board of your favorite gathering place…

I LOVE how Hannah Marcotti is advocating for Joy.  She has a lovely blog and newsletter, and offers courses called The Joy Up.  She also has a beautiful, honest, and tender authenticity to her approach, which helps joy to feel absolutely within reach for all.

“You can be a force of positivity while sharing moments of sadness, doubt and fears. Perhaps, we are all the more that light shining when we share the truth of ourselves which includes that delicate and ever shifting balance, our gratitudes, joys, fears, chaos, overwhelm, passions and desires. I know that this is my truth. I share it so that I may have the possibility of more truth around me.”- Hannah Marcotti

Tricia Newell, who created the Grace Happens movement here on Martha’s Vineyard says,

Grace is a gift received simply because we declare it so; a smile, a sunset, a hand extended, a life well lived.
What if we said, “Grace Happens”. What if we believed it. What if we practiced it- and passed it along.
What would be possible? There are a lot more people that believe Grace Happens than you might imagine. LOOK AT YOU. Surprise!
This delightful adventure began on the Island of Martha’s Vineyard. Where it goes is up to you.
