A Sacred Pause
by ingrid on August 11, 2009

I owe you a verse, Love,
& I may never get it right.
I want to give you the world.
Here, Love, is the world,
& you may have it.
The beautiful world. That one.
The one of dreams & mountains,
fields & seas.
The world of people who laugh
& sing & make love & dance.
That one.
The world of delicious plenty:
milk, honey, picnics & feasts.
The world of harmony,
tenderness & rejoicing.
Do you see it love?
That one.
I give it to you.
Can you feel it?
Then it is yours.

This is absolutely beautiful, Ingrid. BEAUTIFUL. It makes me feel as if I am drifting on a soft current safe and secure in that little boat in the photo, surrounded by that pristine natural beauty. What a gift you have. Thank you for sharing it. xo

what a beautiful image you paint with your words… this world is here… all the time… will we just trust?… one little bit?…and know it is ours, this precious gift?… if we are willing to turn just this tiny bit, it is ours…
Thank you for your loving feedback. I took this photograph at Menemsha, a fishing village near where I live. It is bustling in the summer. This little tethered boat speaks to the hearts of many- often there will be someone set up painting nearby. It feels calm and safe and beckoning for adventure all at the same time.
