TENDING JOY VOLUME 03 Ingrid's Web-JournalWisdom tells me I am nothing. ~Nisargadatta Maharaj They Are Here! A box has arrived of my books, Friendship, Happiness, and Love from Andrews McMeel Publishing. They are so beautiful! More lovely than I had dared to hope. It's hard to describe my feelings of humility, joy, and gratitude when I turn these books over in my hands. It feels like a sheer miracle. I have my agent, Julia Lord, and editor Patty Rice to thank- as well as a whole team of people at Andrews McMeel... and the Divine Energies of the Universe that moved to make this happen.
The books are at fine stores everywhere, and on this site as well. Please help me market them! Please go to your local book and gift shops and ask for them. I can't believe they could have made them so beautiful and set the price for only 5.99. They are each hard cover mini books, 64 pages, with more quotations than my original versions. I'm in awe. Finally, to be in the good company of Friendship, Happiness, Love, Courage, and the Abundance of Grace, Ive produced a book of Joy Quotes.
With a grateful heart, I notice how blue the sky is today. The purple flowers on the butterfly bush are teaming with orange monarchs ~ sipping nectar, opening and closing their wings. The oaks are aging, but still predominantly green. A slight breeze rustles their leaves against the blue sky. With a grateful heart, I sit at my desk and enjoy some butter on bread – chewy and delicious bread. The â€I†who notices and names feels grateful and content. The â€I†who is Divine Consciousness knows oneness with those very energies: gratitude, contentment, well-being, and love. The day is lavish with colors, sounds, tastes, and my heart sings. Infinite plenty moves through me like a river spring. My creativity flows out with abundant joy. I am so thankful for my divine life, work, and loves. My family fills my heart with tenderness. I feel blessed in all things.
I've added a reflection called Seeking Nectar to Articles. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am so happy to be easing The state of love is the state of grace. ~N. Sri Ram
When we feel contended, we are living in grace. When we feel blessed, it is grace that blesses us. And when we despair, it is grace that gently holds us. Grace reaches through our loneliness to let us know that we are not alone. Like a shaft of light in the forest, grace may appear as an unmerited gift. We donâ€t have to feel worthy of it. Without judgment or prejudice, grace is there for us all like air. Infinite, eternal, and holy, grace is a divine current which runs through all things. ~Ingrid Goff-Maidoff, I've been selling this sweet little book, The Abundance of Grace, all summer long. I didn't have time to post it on the website until now. I created it to inspire the reader's life with a tender infusion of hope, love, trust, and a splendid awareness of the presence of grace. Below are a few sample excerpts. â€I wantto borrow from the language of the saintsto live â€in grace†as much of the time as possible. By â€grace†I mean an inner harmony, essentially spiritual, which can be translated into outward harmony.†Grace comes into the soul, Grace is given not because we have done good works, For the Abundance of Grace product page, click here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I went for a walk yesterday, and bought flowers from North Tabor Farm. On the way home, a bee flew beside me for a while, and then nestled into my bouquet. It was a delightful sort of sharing- and the realization that the bee could fly so much faster than I myself can walk- this was something I'd rarely thought about or marvelled at before...

Soon the children will be back in school, and the shows will be only once a week. I will become a writer again, wearing my "manufacturing" hat a little less. I can hardly wait! I send you all my love, xo, ingrid ![]() ...Be The Love You Want To See...JUNE 22nd. Happy Summer. I want to share this uplifting link with you: PAUL POTTS on YouTube I promise this will make your heart sing and lift the hair on the back of your neck. Paul Potts is a very humble contestant on "Britian's Got Talent," a show much like American Idol (Simon is even one of the judges.) But Paul wins everyone's heart with his humility and blows them all away when he opens his mouth and the most beautiful opera flows through him. The other night my family and a friend watched every next link offered, and were completely enthralled to follow his journey through the program. You'll love it. ![]() Today, June 15th, is my daughter Rose's 15th birthday. Everyday now I find myself looking twice- she is growing into a confident and beautiful young woman. And I find myself learning from her daily as well. I quoted her in the new book, Courage, because I was so impressed by her reaction to some of the choices of her peers. "I won't let these few small ripples disturb my inner lake," she said. Her peaceful wisdom silences me when I find myself churning over things, or holding a grudge- unable to release myself from its grip through the un-simple act of forgiveness. She is handling adolescence with much more grace than I am. I am grateful and in awe. Happy birthday to you all. Happy Day, and may you be lucky enough to enjoy the divine wisdom and big heart of a young person in your life today. In Joy, Ingrid Do You Have A Happy Dance? When I wrote to Chantal in the U.K. to tell her she'd won one of my Joy Boxes, she emailed back that she was doing a happy dance. How splendid is that? I thought, a happy dance, I need to get one of those. And that made me think of Matt Harding who many of you know I am a big fan of. He has danced "badly," he says, all over the world, and made amazingly uplifting videos. I visited his site for fun and found he has now posted outtakes which are just as delightful as the original films. GO TO THIS LINK for a treat. ![]() THE DIVINE ENERGY OF JOY I've been thinking a lot about Joy lately...ok, no surprise there. But here is my latest revelation: The fantastic thing about recognizing Joy as Divine Energy is that you find it everywhere. At the height of creativity, Divine Energy flows through us. We touch Divine Energy when we go for a walk outside, meditate, or do yoga. We touch Divine Energy when carressing the cheek of our child, kissing a loved one, breathing... Divine Energy/ JOY IS EVERYWHERE. I created 101 pith Joy cards with this theme in mind. Here are a few of the thoughts they contain: ~If you want a joyful life, put joy at the center. ~Joy is growth. ~Joy is a natural state. ~Joy is the brilliant universe delighting in itself. ~Let Joy be the road you're on. ~Look up! Look up! Oh the infinite sky! ~Where did you come from, if not the essence of joy? ~Keep your own list of luminous things. Add to it everyday. ~Dare yourself to be dazzled daily. ~As close as the next breath. That's where Joy is. ~Let joy sing through you... ~Passionate peace: that's how you will know joy. ~Joy is the loving presence in which the joyful live. ~Divine Energy pulses through us all, and this is another name for joy. ~Be open to receive all the goodness in the world. ~Joy is the unlimited essence of being. ~What is joy? An infinite love that knows no bounds. ~What is joy? The oneness of waves on every sea... ~All things grow up from an atmosphere of joy. ~What is joy? Your life, my love, yur life. ~There are thousands of ways to love this world. ~Touch your heart, breathe in joy. ~With joy in your heart, you can buy the world for free... and many more... Meditating on these inspirations surprises and delights me every time I select a new one from the bunch. Which is kind of funny, since I'm the one who wrote them... ![]() I'd like to send a gift of one of these boxes to the first three people who actually visit this page, read down this far, and contact me!
